With a passion for wine and over 30 years spent in multiple wine regions, winemaker Peter Selin finally moved to Sonoma Valley, where he felt most at home, pursuing that passion. This image is of the vineyard of the first contract signed, Pucionni Ranch, in Dry Creek.
With a love for the best fruit and boutique, hands-on style wines, Sonoma Valley grew as a home with the friendship and brotherhood of winemaker Chris Taddei (Taddei Family Wines and Super Sonoman) and his extended family with the Taddei's. With a career in technology behind, moving to Sonoma Valley was an easy transition and Selin Cellars was born in 2019.
With a love for many styles of wine and winemaking methods, the desire was to make big, bold, velvety wines that make you feel fulfilled and comforted when you drink them.
I choose to find unique varietals to focus on, but, I am blessed to work with other varietals with Chris while I focus on the unique.
Napa is wonderful, but, has become much more business and Sonoma is so much more family, to me. I feel blessed to work with some of the best Napa has to offer (with Chris), while all my fruit is Sonoma based!
I also love the other wonderful AVA's in California, but, focus on local fruit, for now.
With the first vintage of Alicante Bouschet entered in competitions and Alicante, Petite Syrah and 2021 Chardonnay in my favorite restaurants, time to explore more outlets!
Burnett Vineyards is in the barrel and tasting awesome, 18 months or more, we shall see how awesome!
2022 was a great year, for winemakers that is, and looking forward to 2023 now
I am going to try and post full information about my fruit, methods, vineyards and many pictures of the vineyards and production.
Please ask any questions and let me know if you want more information posted, either here or in my Instagram.
